wonder how this effects people(me) with a 4-5 week window that ordered last week ?
Wouldn't a 4-5 week wait last week equal to a 3-4 weeks this week? I think they're still taking orders for the same batch essentially.

Normally, how much are store bought DVDs in the US & Canada these days? I personally don't have any desire to buy DVDs. Like others here, I typically watch a movie just once. However, I've recently been able to justify purchasing some because (a) they are considerably cheaper than 2 movie tickets, and (b) my local video store's new ownership doesn't seem to like purchasing DVDs.
I recently bought Wedding Crashers, Firewall, and Syriana because they were only about 10 dollars each. Not bad. Children's movies-- one type than I can easily justify buying because of the multiple viewings-- are slightly more.

People are still gonna complain unfortunately:( Its all about priorities. I for one am a huge Valve fan period(hence my interest in the thread)...that said, Im not super enthusiastic about MR threads on "Facetime Updates"/etc. People just care about different things...I dont think thats crazy;) Stay well friend!
I see the point, but there's a bit of a difference between something not being to your taste and telling the people who run the sites that they're geeks who don't know what constitutes a newsworthy site. :)
If I did complain I'd do it in a way that was at least civil, hehe.

That's totally nuts! You really have to be stupid and careless to do such a dumb things. It is bad because you are destroying a good for no reason and it is also bad because you are creating some pollution for no reason as well.

Does it fix the mute button? maybe its just mine but it vibrates when I switch it both ways and some doesn't vibrate when switched to silent.
Have the same issue, but no jailbreak.

I really can't see Apple getting more content at the same price as Netflix, or the same content at a lower price.
Granted Netflix can't sustain their pricing model forever, but Apple doesn't have many instances of making "better" and "cheaper" at the same time.
Have you heard of that tablet device Apple makes? The iPad or something like that?

I updated earlier today, and didn't unplug anything. I had an USB issue after the reboot; the keyboard stopped working. It was plugged into a USB hub. Oddly, the USB hard drive I had plugged into the same hub still worked. (So did my firewire 400 and 800 drives. ) Unplugging and reconnecting the hub solved the problem.
Recommend unplugging hubs.

Nope. I mean I can look at something and gauge how far away it is, but as far as proper depth perception I don't.
Basically because of my condition (Duane's Retraction Syndrome) my brain only processes images out of one eye (although I see out of both.) Therefore any stereoscopic 3D effect is lost on me.

Nokia is only enforcing the legal right to attempt to protect what they consider is misuse of their IP. Let them.
Why does everyone get their knickers in a bunch about this? If they have a case it'll be upheld, if they don't then the court will throw it out. Big deal. Blame litigation happy America if you have to.
EDIT: Oh and to people saying why has it taken so long to bring an action - these corporate matters can take a while to rumble through. Yes, commercial pressures do have an impact on when cases are brought - trust me, it happens an awful lot!

Whilst the overall suite is much better than the 2008 version I have to say the performance of Excel on the Mac is just extremely poor when copying chunks of rows to another sheet it's just painful.
Only talking maybe 10,000 rows and it borks - having used Excel on Windows for many years, including the latest versions capable of handling million row spreadsheets, the performance overall of the Mac version is crap.
Very near to being a great suite but I wonder if they have the inclination to resolve and improve.....

Not gonna happen. For starters, how do you type in names for your audio tracks when you've got your keyboard swapped for a mixer? :)
Still, neat idea.
External keyboard [and mouse]? I think this is a wicked idea - might compromise the 'laptop' status a little bit, but I wouldn't think that you'd use a 'music keyboard' or 'mixer' configuration on your lap anyway.
