I cant downplay a windows phone cause I only had one in my hand for 30 seconds or so, Windows has its work cut out for them against apple eco system of devices and intergration. Best of luck to the competition. Competition is a good thing.

I wouldn't give you good odds for WWDC, but you should have your update within less than a month from it.
Merom isn't out at the time of WWDC- it won't be until later in August. It is possible they may let apple take pre-orders if steve wants to really make it a massive attack at WWDC on all parts of the line charging ahead into the next generation, but you never know with him.
Of course the way things are going, for all we know there may really be PB G5s at WWDC, who knows nowadays :rolleyes:Unless Apple gets some special early treatment from Intel, I agree with preorders.

What many people fail to realize it Creative had some accessories that have adapters that work with the Shuffle and the ipod however this alows them to actually put the "made for ipod" tag on it.

What about the Container Store, which is trademarked? Seems like the difference is whether or not the term is in common use before the trademark is filed.

Nokia actually has a phone with clickwheel and no keypad, the 7380. Anyway, the Apple Phone does have a keypad as well.

Amazing! I totally agree, I don't mind paying higher taxes here for better services and better rights.
I know someone who works in the public sector was told to get his working hours down because he was working more than the amount he was supposed to by law in his job. Was told to get it down to 42 hours a week I think.

One of their most important demands was for a 32 hour week, so that they would not be falling asleep on the job.
Today, a bunch of the scabs he hired to replace those controllers are retiring, putting a great deal of pressure on the system. If nothing else, I think the 32 hour week is a good idea if you like flying and arriving safely. Sadly, Reagan's firm stand has left us in a perilous situation, with controllers snoring in the tower and planes landing without help. So the NTSB's solution is to require that they get at least 9 hours between shifts, which I think is pretty scary.
Most of us would prefer these guys fresh and alert. All we need is one impressive crash (that will be blamed on this president) to get this issue really pushed to the forefront � which will probably result in a controller getting fired and no real improvement to the system.

* Firmware of iPod nano just means nano's iTunes and iTunes for ROKR are likely built from the same codebase. Remember neither are based on the Portalplayer software, and Apple isn't going to reinvent the wheel. "iTunes Phone Driver" refers to the ROKR driver, and Apple's website specifically says that's what it's for. Uploading of pictures and other features in the latest iTunes Phone Driver may simply point to updates in iTunes for Phones, or even making the code more generic. All of these pieces of evidence have logical explanations that, on occasion, contradict the notion they're part of some roll-out of an iPhone. I think if anything needs to change here in the US to make phones any better it is our service plans, not adding in cameras and iTunes abilities... those are just gimmicks to make you think you have a better service. I think apple could make a better phone but it would be limited to what our US service plans can offer.

The USA is on borrowed time. Unless the US can drastically make changes, things are really going to get worse.. as if they aren't all ready. Already, the corporate run media reports everything is getting much better.. I don't believe this over a hill of beans.. Consider this:
Job market still sucks.. unemployment in the US is over 10 percent despite what the media says being 8.9 percent..
Economy isn't really growing much at all.. at best 2 percent growth which does not mean its getting better.
The trillions of debt this country is in.. I fear within the next few years the debt is going to get higher + rising gas and food prices.. and most Americans are too stupid and blind to the corporate media saying things are ok.. I should know. I am struggling with gas and almost had a fight with someone at a gas station because I called for a REVOLT against the corporations controlling out lives(gas companies and the middle east OPEC).
3rdly, cost of living is rising, and food... So, is the US getting better? Hardly.. and no one seems to care or want to do something to change it.. The solution proposed by Congressman Ron Paul..
Complete ABOLIITION of the Federal Reserve and a repeal of the 1917-1919 federal reserve signed by Woodrow Wilson.. and also an end to the IRS and its tyrannical strangle hold on the citizenry..
The American people should take ownership of corporations and not allow corporations and banks to rule over the people.
Only then will America be able to recover from all of its ills.. and if someone can't recommend Ron Paul for 2012 presidency, then we have signed this country's death warrant.
And yes, the recession is not over.. in fact, we might even be heading into economic depression very shortly.
Its not about capitalism here.. its about ENDING CORPORATE RULE and BANKS ruling over us all.

I don't even know why am I so excited about this since I always have my iPod classic with me.
Even though it would be awesome if iPhone had an external-cloud based space of 160 GB to substitute my loaded gem. That could seriously break the need for 256 GB SSDs in iPhones for us audiovores...

There's no such thing as being safe driving 25 above the limit. I'm not the type of person to slow people down, because that's not my business, but I am the type of person to laugh at someone who whizzes past me, then I pass 5 miles later getting written up. Just wait until your first ticket or accident, you'll reconsider your driving habits.
Technically I was only 20 over the limit (I'm in Michigan). Also, radar detectors are a great thing:)
EDIT: @mrsir2009 - no that lady was doing 5mph under the speed limit in the passing lane, while not even passing. Traffic in the right side lane was passing her. She then proceeded to brake check me and travel under 55mph (the posted minimum in Michigan). More like wtf is wrong with her.
