These ******s are just stupid. Destroying every new gadget that comes out because they are high school dropouts with no income source... I hope they try blending butane tanks next. That would make my day!
Uh, dude these guys are geniuses. Spending $500 in order to get 10 million views on YouTube? Any company would do that in a heartbeat.

There's a lot of content that the on-demand portion of netflix doesn't include. If Apple can get more new releases I could see it as a complementary service to netflix--but not a replacement. In the end, much of the most popular content will still only be available on disc from netflix.
If this turns out to be true, I doubt Apple's price model could match the value in netflix. I'm sure it will be better integrated and more convenient to use however.

So when you were young, you just blindly followed what older people said to you, even if they were completely wrong? Kids don't think they know everything, they just don't like being accused (and treated) wrongly.
No, i would refer the matter to another adult like I advised you to do in another of my posts, so they can then make a judgement call.

Rental via download: yes!
Purchase: no!
If I want to own, I want the disc. Burning answers that mostly, but a nice box set is still preferred.
But the point is, I seldom WANT to own. It's not like music. I seldom want to watch the same movie again. So let me rent--at a price that's low enough to be reasonable at whatever quality they deliver.
If quality is sub-DVD, the price had better be sub-Netflix and the selection had better be great. (Which is unlikely to happen quickly--but eventually.) Convenience/instant gratification do add some value, but I won't compromise too much on quality. (iTunes TV shows are OK quality for a missed episode, not good enough to collect and keep. For me.)
So I hope Steve Jobs gets over his no-rental mindset on this.

Maybe, I'm not really sure. To me though, it seems like if the software has to scan you to figure out what part is an arm and a what is a leg, etc, then 2 people might be the max. But again, I really have no clue.
The way I understand what they are describing in the snip, it would prolly have to "scan" you to tell where your hands are (and not your feet, etc.). But after that initial scan, it can ignor the rest of your body and just track your hands...or the area where your hands are. This way, the positions of your two hands will be the only thing the computer has to focus on while the rest of your body doesn't need to get computed. Of course this depends on the software. If the license involves the device just outputting 1/2 skeleton configurations, then the game dev can only work with 2 ppl. If the game dev has more control over the sensor tracking, then they can do more body parts...or isolated areas of the screen.

Does it have the new 65 nm chipset?
On temaxbox forum they say it is same parts as in the old units.
From IGN Article:
The new "Elite" console contains the same parts, processors and chips as the Core and Pro units, and is the same dimensions, only it's got an HDMI port on its back-side (in addition to the standard RGB port) and comes with a 120GB hard disc drive (HDD), cables and headset, all in black.
http://forum.teamxbox.com/showthread.php?t=516104
And is the hdmi alone worth to upgrade to the elite from the premium? You can get the 120Gb hdd as a stand-alone accessory.
And Sony responds: http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/13112/Sony-Responds-to-Xbox-360-Elite-Announcement/

Oh, I see. Bummer. :( Try hiding it under the desk. Or better still, say you have to go to the restroom. That was always my excuse for any urgent business during a lesson.
It's kinda hard to do that in band, which is next. I have like 5 more minutes on here.

Wait so, how are we supposed to report No Coverage in an area with, well, no coverage?
That's part of their master plan. No one reports no coverage. :)
Seriously, there's a flaw there. I guess you report it when you get coverage??

What makes you think Liquid metal is black anyhow ? It's no blacker than aluminium which can be anodized black or Carbon fiber which can be painted a light shade of grey.
Seriously folks, that black macbook concept art could be made out of anything, as much as their "dark" look can represent any material on their site. It has nothing to do with supposed Liquid Metal or Carbon Fiber or Aluminum.
I'm just stating the obvious not by the concept photo but by the actual color composition of liquid metal:

I'm sure Aluminum and Liquid Metal (or any metal at that) can be painted/baked into any color... but with recent postings all showing liquid metal being a "dark" color, I simply was going with that as the example. :)
Probably one of my favorite videos:

would oled keys not be a lot better such as the ones used on the optimus keyboard concepts??
http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/
Optimus has also a funny mouse..
http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/mus2/
However, for my Powerbook a mouse that looks more like my Avatar, or at least one with a small rotating or bouncing ball attached would be more authentic :(

That's never going to come. Microsoft has moved away from WebDAV. It's not included in Exchange 2007/2010 if I'm correct. And the only reason Windows versions of Outlook still work is that they are using MAPI currently, which I believe Microsoft is also doing away with.Exchange 2007 still supports WebDAV but 2010 does not - although installing 2007 SP3 breaks WebDAV even though MS say it should work. In any case Entourage 2008 and Outlook 2011 are both EWS compatible so there should be no WebDAV grief. Exchange 2003 will never support EWS.

I can't get the video to play at all. I have been trying all day. I have also tried downloading with the suggested programs and they don't even start. This sucks.
I got it to work but the lipsync went wonky. They relly need to release it via iTunes as pod cast

I generally like the blendtec videos but seriously that guy is mental. He should be doing that under a hood and probably have a respirator on to.
Also I don't really appreciate them blending Apple stuff, nor does it seem like a good story for mac rumors unless the plan is to get pissed off at blendtec :D
Although it was pretty cool that you could still see the screen / keyboard on, even after is was partly bent in half / cracked.

You keep banging on about personal responsibility, yet now you seem to want to absolve the lunatic who tried to kill his wife of any responsibility at all. He is the one who tried to kill her. That she put herself in danger by underestimating his lunacy is a mistake, not a crime.
You read in my comments what you want, I clearly stated that both parties are at fault. I don't recognize the "victim" angle on the woman's side, it doesn't mean I don't think the guy was in the right either. Both can be wrong (novel concept, I know).
Of course, again, you're right Skunk. 100%. No need to argue, end thread.

People on these boards never cease to amaze me. First, they complain that there aren't enough update. When are the updates? We need more!!! Then they release them, and people complain. What's with all the updates?! Why is the update so big?! Apple is horrible...I'm switching...!!!
WOW...Just amazing. I'd hate to be living in your houses! :D

I have a feeling that the bottom line with this stuff is, a "big player" (or two or three) will have to simply start allowing people to place and stream their music content on the servers and duke it out in court with any of the record labels who protest, after the fact. The record labels are as greedy as ever, and surely WANT to try to retain as much control over usage of the music as possible.
If you can imagine a new way to deliver or re-use the content, they want to find some way to get paid for it.
I don't think they'd win in a court of law, personally -- and maybe Amazon simply doesn't think so either? But until a ruling is made, it's probably still one of those "unknowns" where depending on which side you're on, you claim permission is or isn't needed to do it.
To be fair, there are probably some complications here too, because like it or not, it's a symbiotic relationship between the record labels and the digital music sellers out there. (EG. If someone like Apple says, "Screw you! Nothing in our legal agreement for selling your digital music says we can't let paying customers stream it!" -- then the labels can say, "Ok, fine... We'll make sure that's changed when your contract is up for renewal, and since you're making money off doing it without our permission NOW? We'll either pull your rights to sell the content when the current deal expires, or we'll charge so much for the privilege to stream, you're compensating us for all the unpaid streaming your users did before we made the change!")
But doesn't Amazon do this already - without the music labels permission?
