I think maybe a bunch of air themed releases
New laptop light as air
with built in 3G chip to get data over the air
Itunes movie rentals, updated apple tv, and slingbox for iphone is on the air
current iphone gets improved bluetooth for listening over the air, Google maps gets triangulation for getting location over the air, Starbucks lets you order coffee over the air
New iPhones will have 3G to let you download faster over the air and GPRS for getting your location over the air.
New and current iPhone to be able to make calls over wifi

With the supply being so choked up with demand already why, why why add yet another retailer. I know this might sound silly but having an Apple product is slowly loosing it's luster, loosing that "I am part of special club" feeling, that "I own something that isn't mainstream" feeling. That doesn't really exist anymore. Before you know it you will be able to by iPhones and iPads at in fancy kiosk/vending machines at airports... Wait they already do, oh Apple what have you become?
Answering my own question I am sure Apples strategy is own the tablet marketplace before anyone can take even the smallest bite out of it. They have legitimate competition coming down the line and want to put a tablets on every shelf and in every hand before anyone can catch up. It's not the slow burn the iPod or iPhone used to be it's a full on retail assault complete with carpet bombing.

And yet, no new iPhone will be present ... I predict a lot of attending hearts will be broken!
Glad I ordered right away, I haven't missed a WWDC yet. Something told me it would be insane this year with Steve's health like it is, it may be his last.
I'm seriously hoping this will be a traditional software only event. Apple has a lot to cover now that they're blending OS X & iOS.
An iPhone announcement would ruin the experience. The longer Apple delays the next iPhone the better the chances are it will be their best. I'd like to see Apple use their best efforts and build a drama free new phone. If they focus they're capable of amazing things.
None of the wonky crap like they pulled with iPhone 4. Apples better than that and it's time to prove it, not just talk about it. A really great iPhone would be fantastic.
Yes I know the current one is selling like crazy, but that only reinforces the fact that Joe Average will buy anything Apple.

@OP, this is very sad. I have been with the facebook app forever. Infact I use it more often than my PC! I hope I get push notifications though...it's a shame. The fb app was the first one I got and it's without a doubt my most used app next to safari if you can consider safari an app.
I see this as an excuse for the developer to explore new horizons. Was it not the same "middleman process" when he first submitted the FaceBook app?? I'm sure it was; however maybe the recent changes are slowing final development to fruition & consumption.
Still the web still has a LONG way to go to become so called "best mobile app" because not all data should be sourced in real time or pulled/pushed when needed by the user. Many places where wireless provider data is STILL not truely unlimited & thus restricted (Canadian providers ALL the incumbents STILL charge & cap a specific ceiling of 1-2GB monthly with few % on the offered/pulled 6gb of data; along with tethering restrictions/allowances and so called "fair use" policies).
There are many applications that serve just as well or better with a single burst of data for 1 time & initial requests. Only specific changes in data which wold affect users are required and incremental.
Some applications, like stock data for trading applications, world news events/reports - need and require a continuous stream of data. Issue is web based cloud "apps" (more like interfaces) change not only the data presented to the end user, but many times augmenting the GUI layout which most of the times is not needed; this lacks in efficient data streaming, and more data bucket usuage & costs to the end user.
There is a HUGE reason why WML/WAP1.1 failed, and why WAP2.0 is in a static state of developmental evolution and suits feature phones, and not smartphones.
Yes I'm aware of HTML5 and what GoogleWave presents - but it proves that the GUI layout consistently changes due to new data streams and provides great event notifications - but its NOT suited for a battery packing handheld smartphone/feature phone device. To put it simply developers that code specifically to the web think of Desktops/Laptops (and recently MIDS) First & Foremost; mobile is thought up of only after mass consumption of their work is taken noticed. THAT is the issue.
Smartphones are THE MOST PERSONAL and trusted computing platform and thus heavily guarded by the end user. As such there NEEDS to be some kind of regulation, to what extent can be argued and never resolved for the next 10yrs - but it cannot nor should NOT be left to the end user!
At one point in the future, a smartphones evolution as a mobile device to a lifestyle personal companion should be as easy, as free, and as care free to use as our voices, words and hands (in any language, context & intent) and evolve as such. The only limitations are common sense, experience, and specific laws & moral aptitude for their uses.
Wow, that is thinking different. I think I'm high!!

Good luck to you guys. As far as stocks for the general population, what a completely botched release by Apple.
In Australia I've checking Apple.com.au regularly. Initially after the first handful were released, their web site has shown 3-4 weeks, that was up for 2 weeks, then dropped to 2-3 weeks, which has now been up for 2 weeks+
Be nice to have some sort of very rough idea!!
How is selling every device you make instantly a botched release?

When you see them in a kiosk at McDonalds...then they will be nearing global domination. :)
I see them at the Best Buy Kiosk's in all the major airports around the country.
If you have flown anywhere lately you have notice Apple products, IPads, MacBooks are the preferred electronic device on most major flights. I was at JFK last week, The waiting areas had 100's of Ipads built into the seats for all those waiting so they could surf the web.

Lets hope they remaster them - the stereo effects on the original versions can be really painful on a pair of headphones.
Huh??
For one, they would have to be remixed to fix whatever you find wrong with them.
And then -- I can't figure out what you're talking about. I have no problems listening to any Beatles albums in Stereo. They're perhaps wider stereo soundstages than you'd find today (where albums mostly play the same GD thing out of both channels) -- but that makes them sonically interesting, not unlistenable.

YEP I'm ready too....i5/i7 would be a great refresh - the politics with upgrading every tuesday kills us all. PC's are far ahead right now in terms of processors. I went through the models and upgrade strategies here (http://macreviewz.blogspot.com/2010/02/quad-core-mac-book-pro.html) on my blog.

(ahem) There IS a difference. Photoshop is far more advanced that Pixelmator for P-R-O-F-E-S-S-I-O-N-A-L work. It has a deeper set of tools and features available.
And some of them even work properly :-)

My point is, the ping-pong effect, when it was used, was deliberate. It does sound strange now, but I remember when these albums came out people listened to them on headphones and thought the effect was cool.
I'm no Beatles historian by any means, but correct me if I'm wrong: weren't the first albums recorded in mono? The stereo versions were later, rather crude simulations of stereo, which is why they never made it to CD.
You are correct sir. I'd also agree with you that Rubber Soul and Revolver are the two best albums. They should not be interfered with.

419.9MB for me with 16GB 3Gs.
Different builds depending on device? Someone with multiple devices might be able to confirm that (if they have to download different builds, or possibly, if your iTunes manages multiple devices, that accounts for bigger downloads that accommodate multiple devices instead of just one).
Each device has it's own file. It's independent of memory size, so a 16GB iP4 would have the same file as a 32GB iP4 assuming both are GSM.
iPad 1 is one file and iPad2 has 3 files one for wifi, one for GSM, and one for CDMA.

That is ok, between this post and your previous post, I am surprised you are still here. Because you are offering so much to this conversation by just saying that all of the Apple people are just koolaid drinking fanboys. Really.

Yes, flash has issues, but there are several sites that I want to use from the iPhone that require it. It would be good for the iPhone to support it.
Can you name off some of those sites and give their web address. Anyone else have sites they can name? I would like to see how much the lack of Flash on the iPhone cripples a web site. - thanks.

So you're saying this theoritical guy that doesn't already have a copy of the CS5 program he's talented in using wouldn't make enough money to pay for it but would make enough to support his family ?
Case in point, people who pirate the CS5 Master Suite probably don't ever use half the applications in it and probably don't have the required talent to even use it professionally. People who do either have their work pay for it or can afford themselves as freelancers.
No, I'm saying this completely fake but probable guy isn't doing well enough with his full time job (which is as a graphic artist), so he's doing a little freelance work to get to a point where he can afford his various monthly payments. It's a break even thing, and there's not much left over, if any... theoretically.
You agree with him. You're saying the same thing as he is, that without the talent and knowledge to make sense of the tool, all you're doing is clicking through the tools as the tutorials you've found dictate and not actually "designing" anything using them or even doing art at all.
IE, talentless hacks thinking that because they read through "Teach yourself Photoshop CS5 in 24 hours", they're now a graphics artist.
Sort of, but his comment about how anyone can learn these apps was incorrect. I was saying you need to have some talent to start with, and once you do, use of the apps CAN increase your design skills - once you start to realize the things you can do with the tools at hand.

Why does it have to go inbetween the iMac and something? How about giving customers a CHOICE at the same pricepoint as the iMac. Lose the integrated LCD for those who have one, bump up the specs a bit and sell at the same price points... See my post above for what I would like to see....
Exactly why it wouldnt happen, cause Apple doesn't want to give people choice at one price point. Its either desktop or portable.... pick ur price... and low beho thats the mac for you. Period. No disputing the great Oracles at Cupertino.
