Here is Princeton's definition of an empire.
Image (http://www.anunews.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/aa-American-empire-map-of-bases-around-world.jpg)
that map very likely includes embassy guards as military troops ... as austria is colored and apart of getting skiing instructions US forces aren't present

one of the big things that stopped me from moving over to mac in the past was office, and the ability to play games when i wanted
having only recently made the switch -no regrets
i purchased office for mac, then i purchased iwork and omg i prefer pages for an everyday word processor - office has become too complicated and user unfriendly - i only use itonce in a while for pro docs creation

8 gauge is just a bit bigger than pencil size this is the best pic i have so far:
but you can see my eyebrow and labret too!
I was told on my upsizing of nip ring, that I was going to an 8 gauge. Now this is now where near "pencil size" (at least for the #2 pencils I have used). Unacurate measurement says the an 8 Gauge is about 1/8" across. A pencil I compared to would indicate between a 4 and 6 gauge.
BTW, every "hot" looking photo. :)
Wondering just how many you can't show here on MR? :D

A pair of binoculars can pretty much accomplish the same thing, no? I'm more worried someone will survey my spandexed behind with their cameras than what my Nike+iPod is giving off. :)

$480 elite + $100 wireless + $200 HD-DVD drive = $780 for the full 360 experience.
$180 more than a PS3. Wow! I can so get a 120 GB OEM drive for LESS THAN $100!
So if I got a PS3 "elite", and got a 120 GB OEM drive, IT'D STILL BE CHEAPER THAN AN ELITE 360! WTF WTF WTF WTF!?!?!?!

Um, so my girlfriend and I have both have the iPhone 3G. We have the same tracking issue by virtue of being on iOS 4.x - but at the current highest OS level for this model, 4.2.1, we don't get a "fix?"

I've written a massive list of Mac OS X 10.7 predictions, things that probably won't be included but I wish they were, and some things that will never happen (Blu-Ray and friends). Please check it out on my website- http://www.split-screen.net/features/mac-os-x-107-lion-wishful-thinking.
Please do, though. I am a human and not a robot.

Leopard will be awhile, likely spring 2007 as has been previously posted. Remember, we're only at 10.4.8 and there's room for one more upgrade before the new OS comes out ;)
Apple doesn't have to worry about meeting the Vista timeline. For one thing, Vista hasn't met a deadline yet on time. For another, when it does come out it's only going to be roughly equivilent of Jaguar and and what we have now is far superior.

so, only about 600 volts this year? seems low.
600 Volt's so far. Production is still ramping up. A dealer in my area I know has sold out of his allotment for the year.

On the MacBook Pros the graphics connection was downgraded from PCIe x16 to PCIe x8 to get PCIe lanes for the TBolt controller.
Have the teardowns or other info shown whether that's the case for the Imacs?

I'd get the New Yorker in a minute if it was even remotely priced the way it would be for a print subscription.
The demand is not there because their prices are unrealistic.
The economist offers ipad access free with the print subscription, so now my print editions sits largely unread and I read it on my ipad which is always with me and up to date with latest issues even when I'm on the road, and with the latest update I can quickly start a discussion with friends on interesting articles.
I used to subscribe to wired ( 25 USD per 2 years If I recall ? ) .. and currently get the New Yorker.. but expecting you to pay 5 Dollars a issue, is a joke, with almost zero distribution costs, after the initial investment in a app platform is made, I'd expect ipad only version to be cheaper.. but even if it was the same price I'd switch.

The risk of infection is enough to dissuade me from getting piercings. Regardless of how well instruments are kept clean, you really can't judge a business for cleanliness by looking at staff or locale. Unless you bring your own bleach and clean the tools yourself, I won't risk it.

Funny.
I'm sure you could setup GSM repeaters and reprogram them to watch a person's cell phone as they walk around.
I really don't see the problem. Making a mountain out of a mole hill.
So what if you can slip it in someone's backpack.
I can buy radio direction finders and transmitters online and do the same.
Or I can buy GPS trackers, and also stick it on someone's car.
Those solutions are easier, more accurate, etc......and not terribly expensive.
I mean, they still need several Nike receivers in the perfect locations vs using regular direction finding or GPS tracking.....

To be honest the whole networking situation could do with a rethink. WebDAV perfomance in Finder is terrible, which is funny because iDisk uses WebDAV.
And this could do with some work as well. It's been like that for years. Why not give any help most new users won't know to type smb:// for Windows.
Absolutely! It's hard for me to believe that Apple has a less user-friendly, less intuitive interface for connecting (and reconnecting to) shares than Windows does.
Wow, I've never heard of this issue - and I haven't noticed it on my setup.
I have a NAS that, upon booting my iMac, gives me a "can't connect" error, because it's trying to mount that volume before network connectivity is established. I have to click the share's icon to get it to mount - but then it stays mounted. *shrug*
No big deal for a single user like you, but then put yourself in my place where you're admin for a site that has both Mac and Windows users. When you see all the hassles and headaches the Mac users have to put up with connecting to and staying connected to shares and you hear barely a peep out of the Windows users, it tells you that something's not right with OS X. Wanting to integrate Macs into a Windows network becomes a much bigger pain than it needs to be. And if you try to set up a Mac to do automated tasks (file management, moving data around, etc.) that requires persistent connections to network shares, its failure compared to Windows is almost embarrassing.
Like I said previously, autofs is there lurking in the Unix side of OS X and you can use it to create automounts. I've figured out how to use that to create far more persistent network connections than what you get through the standard UI but it's far too complicated for the typical user. Apple just needs to put a friendly interface on that and we're set.

I can upload the original if anyone wants it. :)
EDIT: I just realized the forum software now compresses images... that sucks.
