You can put it on your imac/transfer it, but you can't put it in a queue behind the WU it is doing now. When your iMac has finished its WU and send it to Stanford, stop the folding client and replace the following items in your fah folder from your powerbook:
- work folder
- unitinfo.txt
- queue.dat
- fahlog.txt
Start your client again and it should go further with the WU. You might need to restart your iMac to use the extra altivec boost.

You'll just have to wait and see. I assume that since it didn't turn off, it should be okay but the keyboard might not work anymore. But you never know. You'll just have to wait. Let it try out and report what happens!

One thing to note about the Titanium, the keyboard often touches the screen and one's own skin oil can rub off on the screen. A cheap inexpensive solution exists for that. Put a sheet of paper on top of the keyboard before closing the screen. Some companies would have you believe you need to spend $20 on a screen protector, when it just isn't true!
Oh and another word of note, no matter what notebook you get, it is best not to travel in sleep mode inside the case if you are doing any amount of driving or transportation riding. The shaking from the potholes alone can cause wear and tear on the hard drive much quicker than if the machine is shut down and the drive is parked. You have some control though if you have it on your lap while you are travelling.
The iBook is indeed more durable than the Powerbook. Covering the Powerbook in a paper towel might be best if worried about small things in your bag scratching its surface. Cheap solutions to expensive problems, but they work.
Speed, Explorer may feel slower on a Mac than a PC, but that's because it is. Microsoft deliberately didn't follow Java standards causing big headaches for all of us. Still, I highly recommend instead using http://www.mozilla.org/ Mozilla as the Mac OS X browser of choice using the pinstripe theme http://www.kmgerich.com/pinstripe/pinstripe.html for a more natural Mac OS X look.

DarwinPorts project announces New Hosting and New Name
7 Aug 8:47 PM
DarwinPorts project announced today its intention to accept hosting for the DarwinPorts project through the new Mac OS Forge facility being set up by Apple Computer at www.macosforge.org. This follows news that opendarwin.org, the project's current hosting provider, will be shut down in the coming months.
James Berry, a member of the DarwinPorts steering committee says:
"We are pleased that by offering us hosting and administrative support services, Apple continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to the open source community. That support is vital to our project."
As part of the transition to Mac OS Forge, the DarwinPorts project will adopt the new name MacPorts, utilizing the macports.org domain, which it recently acquired. "We believe the new name MacPorts better reflects our mission, which is to provide a collection of open source ports for Mac OS X, with future supportfor binary packages", says Juan Manuel Palacios, another DarwinPorts member.
Members of the DarwinPorts/MacPorts project and portmgr team will work with opendarwin.org and Mac OS Forge to effect a smooth transition over the coming weeks.

I like the whole idea, it works for me - until I realize I'm stuck with Mac, what am I suppose to do with my MP3 player? I guess the logical answer would be, buy an i-pod? Who has the money to go buy everything as soon as it is on the market? Come on folks, give us MP3 users a chance!

Did you use fix recovery @ the tiny umbrella site?
It would also be helpful to post when you got this error.

Hey everyone!
CunningTV is going to be covering the MacWorld 2008 keynote at http://cunning.tv/
If you're the kind of person who likes watching multiple live things at the same time in addition to MacRumorsLive, this is for you :)
Also, if you'd be nice enough to Digg it that would be great: http://digg.com/apple/CunningTV_MacWorld_2008_Coverage_2
Thanks, and have fun watching MacWorld!

I would like to format my ipod to fat 32 for cross platform compatibility, & read that disk utility can destroy some of the ipod settings, & that doing it through parallels & a virtual machine does not work well either, so that leaves using a PC with itunes on it.
I have access to a pc in my home, but it has windows xp service pack 2 on it, & the ipod 7th gen requires service pack 3, would I be able to hook it up to the pc to format it? or would it not be able to read it?

Hmm, found the GIMP printer application, but it works only for USB printing.
What I need is something that will allow me to print to the printer plugged in to the AirPort if possible.
