Check out Ruby on Rails, and watch the demo video if you can.
You could create a guestbook in seriously 10 minutes with Ruby pretty easily.
Do you know if you host supports ruby/ruby on rails?

Thanks, while that was some good background info, I guess I need to ask more questions.
What is a good yet inexpensive turnkey ISP? I mean turnkey like they have tons of templates I can manipulate, they can reg my domain names, and offer enough bandwidth to take care of a start up nothing site, I will not sell anything from this site, it will be more info about me and what I do.
I want to "Brand" myself so to speak.
I will offer links and post testimonials or recommendations from others.
I want to keep this inexpensive, but not afraid to spend where it needs spending.
Should I use a .biz domain?

I talked to the woman at MTSU who takes care of the Apple stuff today and she said they will be selling it for $69, but they will not be there until Monday. They are only getting 15 copies and you cannot pre-order.
Thinking about going to the Apple store and buying it anyways--I really want the t-shirt! :p Wife says I should wait until Monday!
PSSHH!
hmm...
get leopard and a free t-shirt.. and have a party at the apple store...
or go down the street and get leopard on monday..
not a hard decision for me!

You don't need to actually uninstall the theme to update at present. Just install over it to update. It's less trouble.
Oooh, I'm sorry, what I was trying to say was that I did this. I tried to install it over the existing version, but for some reason, it would not work on my install, and I was forced to uninstall and reinstall. But it sounds like it is an isolated case, and maybe it has something to do with one of my extensions or something (*slaps TBE* bad TBE, bad TBE :)).
I do hope that update.mozilla.org picks you up.

I hope this post gets filed in the "I knew I wasn't the only one!" mental filing cabinets of many. Because if it doesn't, then it makes me the only one who really looks forward to the music Apple uses in its keynotes. Whether it's a song that leads up to Steve Jobs' entrance on stage, or one used in software or hardware demos, there's no denying that music is very much a part of Apple's DNA. Heck, the company's namesake reflects Steve's love for the Beatles.
Apple occasionally invites some of music's biggest names to perform at its events because, as Steve says, "it's all about the music."
And this post is all about the music. It's all about the music that Apple has used in one way, shape, or form at its keynote events. Although by no means a definitive list, it's certainly a fair sample.

did Chrono-Trigger never make Europe officially ? I must have had an import copy then. Best RPG ever. For years after I've called my RPG charaters 'Chrono' :D
Mu god that box art is awful............. I could have sworn the box I had was just the ChronoTrigger name and the clock pendulum..... come to think of it. I think I bought mine from Hong Kong back in the day.
EDIT!!! OMG look at my spelling. Sorry folk's - just blame the St.Patrick's Day hangover.

Those numbers don't sound right. $2349? Apple doesn't sell anything at that price point unless you have 27" configured with some BTO
Yep, it is 27" 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 2TB Serial ATA Drive, everything else is default.

I've done some CUDA on the Mac, there's little difference between CUDA on Linux and Mac (I think?), at least from what I've done. I know the Mac CUDA kext is still 32bit, and nVidia hasn't supported Mac as well as Linux. In terms of CUDA code though, its hardly different?
I have a tonne of projects on at Uni, but when I have some time I'll have a look at the BOINC code, maybe I can help out.

Hi Guys,
Same problem hung up on install, powered off and stuck on gray apple screen with spinning gear. I'd like to keep Lion, but am OK with SN L in the alternative.
I am a rookie. No partition. Possible backup on an external hard drive. I have the SN L disc but want a work around.
If I do a full reinstall with SN L will I lose my iTunes?
I can get in through the disk utility, can I do anything from there?
Please help and excuse my ignorance.
Evan

Gotta love the internet age - guy posts one line of a song and then complains that no reply is forthcoming in only 24 hours :D

so, heres my problem. when playing a song in itunes, once and awhile the song will fade out for a few seconds and then be heard again. this accompanies crackling sounds every once and a while. i notice it seems that the computer slows for a sec when this happens. one time when it happened, all sound stopped working and so did the keyboard and mouse, so i ran hardware test and everything is fine. i ran disk doctor, tech tool, drive 10, and any other utility i could. anyboyd have any ideas what i could do to fix this or whats causing the probelm. i usually only have itunes, safari, and aim open at one time. i have a dual 1ghz G4 with a gig of ram. i have tried different songs and it always happens. help!!!
update: it just happend again with a crackling noise. i also failed to mention i am up to date on software and i have harmon kardon soundsticks.
i also just realized that it happens with all audio applications.

I have a first gen ipod nano that it having some problems. It has worked for a while now, and then yesterday, I plugged it into my computer to charge it, and it worked fine for the rest of the day, but today, I tried to turn it on, and there is no sign of it working or anything. I tried plugging it into my mac, and it does not notice it. Does this mean that the battery is dead? Or does it mean that the screen is mad or something? Thanks for the help.

Hi,
Is it possible to check when a button is pressed and released?
I wanted to do something when the button is pressed and something else when its released?
Let's say print press began when the button at the first touch and print button released when it is released.
Thanks,

I agree getting to know CSS is the best way to go. And Wordpress widgets are just a nightmare.
This site is really good for teaching all about CSS and loads of other stuff actually. Very simple does it in small steps to get you going.

I think its OK to hope for things you want to happen that are beyond your control.
If you hope some things to happen that you have the potential to alter the outcome of yourself (vs. doing something about it), you will often get disappointed and some ppl even "blame others" (even "god") when their hopes are squashed. This is the mentality of a "loser". It's one thing to lose when you've given it a shot, but if you've lost without even trying and just "hoping" it works your way, you are a loser from the start.
It's like "praying" to win the lottery. If you want to be rich, go out and start a business and give it a shot rather then spend the time praying to become rich and "hoping" your god makes you the chosen one.
