Personally, I'd hope that the new gaming consoles--read PS3--would offer some DIVX playback too. I have a Samsung HT-q70 that upscales to 1080i over HDMI and it has a USB port on the front that allows you to plug an external drive into it and it plays VCD, DVD, DIVX, MPEG 2 & 4. That would be a nice simple feature that can be added to these consoles that would make them more useful as a media center.

Because if you order one now you'll get an email back saying there was an unexpected delay. Inventory is drying up at best buy and amazon. Other threads here on the macrumor forums show that supplies are shrinking all over the world and distributors have no stock.

I've also had Verizon now for 4 years, and I've maybe during that time had 2 dropped calls. Not bad for 4 years of service.
As a consumer, when is 30% failure rate, acceptable?
And then these femtocells. If they (the provider) can't give you access you're paying for, is it really fair that they charge you on top of what you're already paying, to sell you a device that is supposed to boost the service you're already paying for?

Well Apple has used up all the "big cat" names like Tiger and Lion which means that either OS 11 is underway or they will be in the embarassing situation of having to use lesser cat names which imply "less".

If I look at people with their iphones, i see like less than 5% using anything on their phones. And all of them use the Apple bumper on some iphone 4. I've seen hundreds of iphones in the wild, but I still have to see one non-bumper case in the wild.

I'll be quite disappointed and most likely skip my first generation of iPhone if they don't integrate 4g antennas. If they're going to delay release (from their normal schedule) we would at least hope to see competitive hardware features with the android phones that come out on a seemingly daily basis.

At bloody last! Although, if the price for a standard BT Apple mouse is anything to go by, this is gonna be quitepricey when compared to a generic brand BT mouse.. and for the price Apple are likely to charge, I want a platinum scroll ball :)

And Rob's an old friend, a brilliant actor, a beautiful man."

Things seem to be smoother with my VZ iPhone 4 opening and closing programs. I always though my iPTouch 4G was snappier than my VZ iPhone but I think they are on par with each other now. This probably has nothing to do with it, but I just did a speedtest and I have yet to ever hit those numbers until now. I was averaging anywhere from 650-1200kbps and sometimes 1500kbps on rare occasions.

If this requires case manufacturers to make a case specifically for the white iPhone on both carriers, I wouldn't be surprised if they just said screw it, were not making one. Apple released the white iPhone because they said they would, I don't think enough will be sold where it makes sense for case makers.
Someone will make a case. Do you think these established companies want some newjack to come in and steal their entire market? Once you buy a case and like it, you typically stay with that company for your next one. Businesses would rather make money instead of making points.

Apple releases products in predictable time frames. iPhone 5 will be released in June. An LTE Verizon iPhone 5 might take an extra month or two but I doubt it. Apple took it easy with the iPad 2 (low res cameras, 512ram instead of 1gb, and same res screen) because competition is so far behind. This is not the case with the iPhone. Quad Core Android devices will be coming in the Holiday season of THIS year. That would not fare well for the iPhone if it gets released on September.

P.s. if you have battery issues, it is not because of ios update..it is from your settings because when you restore to your phone the settings are also restored...so the problem remains...try to kill ping with restrictions...also try to recreate your email accounts...push to off...notifications also off...
Also try ipod settings eq off...and i have specified my carrier...its not automatic
interesting suggestion to try reseting all of the email accounts. i'm going to try this. i have been contemplating doing a full clean install to help this battery issue, but i don't like the thought of losing things like all of my text messages and other histories/settings.

Don't have any use for Expose, but I use Spotlight quite a bit.
I think Panther was hit or miss for those first few weeks. Some people had major problems, I didn't.
Panther was fine for me; if I'd stuck with that version, then I probably would have been OK.
OS X "Kernel Panics" are transparent :)

Because the hardware is in the CDMA phone on Verizon. The AT&T iphone 4 doesn't have the same chip. If the iphone 5 does, it's still up to apple and at&t to enable it.
